We have been made aware yet again of spoofed/phishing emails that appear to be sent from Pastor Chad. The Office of the Bishop of the Southeastern Iowa has also fallen victim to such attacks as have many other rostered leaders in the church. Below is a document recently sent by the Office of the Bishop that explains these emails or text messages and ways to spot them. The first thing to do is always to look at the originating email address or phone number of the email. In this last instance, the email came from a gmail account. Pastor Chad’s email is pastor@wbbethany.org and Paula’s email is blcsecretary@lcom.net
