Even in a small community of approximately 2,300 people there are many who struggle just trying to put food on the table. Over the years the people of Bethany Lutheran Church have faithfully and diligently collected food and other supplies for the West Branch Community Food Pantry located at 225 N Maple St. We do this in response to the love Jesus Christ has so graciously given us. Donations may be dropped off at Bethany Lutheran, 235 S 2nd St. Please place them inside the north entry to the church building, which is open 9-4:00 PM Monday through Friday and on Sunday mornings. See below for the most needed items at the pantry. The Food Pantry is open the first, second, and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 4:00-6:00 PM. Also, the third Saturday of the month from 9 AM – 12 PM. On the third Tuesday, a mobile food pantry is available at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 507 E. Orange St., from 3:30-4:30 PM. Sponsored by Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP).
**Please take perishable, fresh, frozen (eggs) items directly to West Branch Food Pantry, 225 N Maple St., during the hours listed above.
