Monday Gospel Gathering

Join us every Monday at noon for a look at and discussion on the upcoming Sunday gospel passage. We will do this via Zoom. See the pertinent information below to join. Also below are 2 translations of next Sunday’s (July 12) gospel lessons from Matthew 13:1-9; 18-23. These meetings will last approximately 30 minutes and also include time for prayer.

Also attached is a similar sheet with readings for this Sunday (July 5) on Matthew 11:16-19; 25-30 and a corresponding look at the passage through “Daily Discipleship”, a study from the ELCA.

Social Statement Discussion

COVID-19 Update

At a meeting June 28 and as a result of increased positive cases of COVID-19 the council determined to continue as is for two more weeks. The building will remain closed except for limited hours for food pantry donation drop-offs. Those hours are: M, W, F 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM; T, TH 1:00 – 4:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Not this Saturday, July 4). Additionally, the sanctuary is open for silent prayer Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 – 4:oo PM.

The council approved an opportunity to gather again in an outdoor worship on Sunday, July 19th at 9:30 AM. This is subject to change based on weather, a continued increase in positive cases of COVID-19, or other circumstances. Look for more information forthcoming.

Status Update

We will continue to keep the building closed through the end of the month of June. Online worship will continue Sunday at 9:30 AM on Facebook. Virtual fellowship will continue at 10:30 AM following worship via Zoom Meeting. See the attached letter for more information.
