We have been made aware yet again of spoofed/phishing emails that appear to be sent from Pastor Chad. The Office of the Bishop of the Southeastern Iowa has also fallen victim to such attacks as have many other rostered leaders in the church. Below is a document recently sent by the Office of the Bishop that explains these emails or text messages and ways to spot them. The first thing to do is always to look at the originating email address or phone number of the email. In this last instance, the email came from a gmail account. Pastor Chad’s email is pastor@wbbethany.org and Paula’s email is blcsecretary@lcom.net

If you are uncertain if it was sent from myself or Paula, please contact us directly. Never reply or click a link.

If you would like to purchase a gift for the angel tree, please click on the link below and sign up.  Drop off wrapped gifts at the church by December 10th.  Put a note on the outside with the description of the gift.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call Kami Poppen at 319.431.8940.  Thank you!
